Walt Disney World College Program

Flashback to 2008 and there's me as a twenty one year old student with graduation looming, everyone suddenly has one question on their lips, "What's next?" My extremely appropriate and grown up answer was "become a Jedi princess." Okay, maybe not the most realistic plan so my next best plan was to run away to Walt Disney World and get a fabulous tan. So that's what I did.

After a long arduous interview process and an even longer visa hoopla my dreams came true. Six months of sunshine and roller-coasters with amazing friends and lots of pixie dust.

Sound unbelievably magical?

It is! It is also hard work, long hours and crazy room mates but if you make it through all of that I can guarantee you that you'll have some of the best experiences of your life. If you're interested you should definitely visit the Disney ICP website here and for my fellow Brits you have to apply via Yummy Jobs. Check them out, see if it looks like something you can see yourself doing (and if you fit the applicant criteria) then I urge you to apply.

A word of caution, it is not cheap. There are application fees, visa fees, tuition fees not to mention the obvious flight and spending money costs. Even the US embassy charges an obscene amount for a five minute phone call. The wages are not the greatest for interns so be prepared and save up before you go.
